Story Cannabis Co. is seeking an Accounting & Finance AI Automation Manager to design and implement AI-driven systems that transform Accounting, Finance, and adjacent functions into a real-time, scalable operating platform.

You will partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to deliver measurable impact through automation, data integrity, and faster decision-making, shaping Story’s AI-enabled operating model across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (Accounting/Finance/IS/AI/Data Science).
• 3+ years in accounting, finance, or financial systems with automation exposure.
• Experience using AI tools and large language models to automate finance processes.
• Experience with ERP systems and cross-system data integration.
• Strong Excel skills and data visualization experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy AI-enabled workflows across Accounting, Finance, and operational functions to reduce manual effort and accelerate close.
• Automate reconciliations, journal entries, accrual calculations, and close processes for a scalable monthly/quarterly close.
• Integrate AI across ERP, POS, inventory, FP&A tools, and data warehouses for real-time visibility.
• Design intelligent workflows to make finance a real-time operating platform.
• Own and maintain AI/automation workflows ensuring reliability, performance, and audit readiness.
• Improve processes covering AP accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, lease accounting, intercompany, and other areas.
• Monitor AI workflow performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Establish standardized automation frameworks across units and entities.
• Lead AI initiatives from concept through pilot, deployment, and rollout.
• Define roadmaps, milestones, and ROI targets tied to efficiency gains.
