Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Data Center Power System Solution Architect to translate trends in Data Center and AI infrastructure into next-gen power architectures and solutions. You will engage with customers, technology partners, and industry bodies to shape architectures and technical requirements.

The role emphasizes technical strategy, customer advocacy, and cross-team collaboration, with ~40% travel, based in the U.S. and North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, CS, Electronics, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in Data Centers, power systems or solution architecture.
• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles leading discussions.
• Experience developing Data Center architectures and reference designs.
• Knowledge of MV/LV distribution, backup gen, UPS/battery, protection and IT-room power infrastructure.
• Experience with power system modeling tools like ETAP or MATLAB.
• Understanding AI infrastructure in high-density DCs is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to simplify complex tech for varied audiences.
• Willingness to travel ~40% within NA.

Responsibilities

• Translate Data Center and AI trends into requirements for future power architectures.
• Engage with customers, hyperscalers, and partners to qualify use cases and tech needs.
• Evaluate and benchmark power architectures; develop criteria and recommendations.
• Develop power system models and specs; identify portfolio gaps.
• Lead or contribute to exploration studies on new tech and architectures.
• Promote Schneider Electric’s technical differentiation in engagements.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Innovation, and Power teams to align priorities.
• Create technical playbooks and pre-sales training materials.
• Contribute to thought leadership through white papers and presentations.
