Job summary

Coast is seeking a Business Operations Associate in NYC to own and run cross-functional projects end to end, from scoping to final handoff. You will work with leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, People, and Operations, translating high-level goals into actionable work while leveraging AI to accelerate planning and execution.

You’ll establish clear plans, milestones, and owner accountability, track progress with data, and build dashboards to inform executives.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in business operations, project or program management, strategy and operations; Fintech/SaaS preferred.
• Proven track record of running cross-functional projects with many stakeholders and shipping them on time.
• AI-native mindset: you already use AI tools in daily work and you’re excited to push further.
• Strong structured thinking: turn ambiguous problems into clear plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; brief executives and align teams.
• Strong analytical instincts; comfortable with data, spreadsheets; SQL a plus.
• High ownership mindset; drive problems to done.
• Ability to move fast and find smarter ways to achieve outcomes.
• Organized and process-driven; juggle multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable influencing without authority across levels.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional projects end to end: scope, plan, line up owners, milestones, and drive to completion.
• Keep projects moving across teams; remove blockers and clarify next steps.
• Spot risks, raise them with recommendations, and keep leaders informed.
• Close projects properly: document outcomes, learnings, and next steps.
• Be the connective tissue across the company by coordinating Product, Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, People, and Operations.
• Translate executive goals into implementable work and turn ground-level input into leadership decisions.
• Run cadences: kickoffs, standups, status updates, and retros.
• Support quarterly planning by turning priorities into projects with owners and dates.
• Scope and evaluate new opportunities; back recommendations with data.
