Job summary

autoMHatic Financial, located in Wayne, PA, seeks a hands-on Controller to own the accounting operations and month-end close end-to-end. This role leads a multi-entity, specialty lending business with consolidated financial reporting and an emphasis on automation to scale processes.

You will be the key liaison for auditors and tax preparers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the close. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in accounting with 2+ years in a Controller capacity, strong US GAAP

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in a Controller role.
• Experience owning multi-entity month-end close and consolidated financials.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and technical accounting judgment.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA and public accounting foundation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full month-end close end-to-end to meet a 5 business day timeline.
• Prepare consolidated trial balance across legal entities with intercompany eliminations.
• Generate monthly financial reporting package and perform flux/variance analysis.
• Oversee audit readiness and liaise with external auditors and tax preparers.
• Support regulatory and investor reporting with compliance teams.
• Drive process improvement through automation and tech tools.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff as the team grows.
