Baker Hill Corporation is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer – Cash Flow Analysis to sit with bankers, understand spreading and analysis, and translate findings into AI-powered software for CFA workflows. Embed with customers, prototype in field, and drive pilots from kickoff through production.

The role combines credit analysis fluency with hands-on technical skills, requiring close collaboration with product and engineering teams and substantial travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Lending Operations, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience spreading financial statements and performing cash flow analysis in a bank, credit union, or lending environment.
• Specialization in both C&I and complex CRE underwriting.
• Strong working knowledge of business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow methodologies (UCA, EBITDA-based, global cash flow, DSCR, NOI-based CRE analysis).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and comfort with SQL, APIs, JSON, and scripting for data transformation and integration.
• Experience building or deploying software solutions in customer environments (implementation/solutions engineering or similar).
• Strong communication skills with bankers and engineers; able to explain technical tradeoffs to a chief credit officer.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites 50%.
• One-hour SAFe overview; to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Embed with bank and credit union credit teams to observe, document, and improve how they spread financials and calculate DSCR, cash flow, and NOI-based metrics.
• Build, configure, and deploy AI-assisted workflows for document extraction, statement classification, spreading, adjustments, and narrative generation.
• Prototype field solutions and translate proven ones to product/engineering for deployment.
• Own technical delivery for pilots and design partner implementations, including data mapping and customer enablement.
• Apply C&I and CRE expertise to underwriting and analysis tasks across multiple entities and portfolios.
• Stay current on credit policy, regulatory expectations, model risk guidance, and competitive offerings.
