Job summary

City of Austin Employees' Retirement System (COAERS) is seeking a Business Process Analyst to plan, design, develop, and implement efficient business and IT systems. The role supports retirement administration by optimizing workflows, finance controls, and AI-enabled solutions while also assisting with helpdesk, network, and cybersecurity tasks.

You will collaborate with decision-makers to define requirements, lead prototyping sessions, and perform cost-benefit analyses to inform management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; 3+ years in business analysis.
• Experience identifying and designing software/hardware solutions.
• Familiarity with workflows, systems, and operations in organizations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define business requirements and system goals with stakeholders.
• Lead design sessions for new workflows and system improvements.
• Develop ROI analyses for proposed workflows/systems.
• Coordinate testing and end-user training for changes.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house systems.
• Create workflow/system models, diagrams, and specifications.
