COAERS in Austin, TX seeks a Business Process Analyst to plan, design, and implement efficient business, financial, and operations systems aligned with our mission. You will optimize workflows, support IT functions, and drive AI-enabled process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users, plus experience with O365, SharePoint, Power BI, and financial systems. Hybrid work and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in information technology or similar.
• At least three years of full-time, directly related Business Analyst experience overseeing software, hardware, information systems solutions, workflows, or products.
• Extensive experience with core software applications including Microsoft O365, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, Visio or similar visualization software.
• Knowledge of financial systems like Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP S/4HANA, Sage Intacct.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
• Proven experience in operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, and data retrieval methods; familiarity with mainframe applications.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or alternative transportation; relevant BA/project management certifications.

Responsibilities

• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define requirements and goals; resolve issues.
• Assess and improve existing workflows and systems for efficiency.
• Lead design sessions prototyping new workflows to enhance processes.
• Define organizational requirements for efficiency, data analysis and interpretation.
• Collaborate in designing and deploying new applications and enhancements.
• Research software/hardware to justify recommendations and support purchasing.
• Prepare reports and recommendations addressing trouble areas in operations.
• Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for workflows/systems.
• Ensure compatibility of in-house computing systems.
• Create models, diagrams, and charts to guide programmers.
• Coordinate tests and post-implementation support; provide end-user training.
• Support basic IT functions including helpdesk, network admin, and cybersecurity.
