Job summary

Carta is seeking a Billing & Revenue Accountant in New York to own end-to-end billing accuracy using NetSuite and YayPay, and to support a clean month-end close. You will collaborate with the Revenue team and Controller to ensure accurate revenue recognition and maintain strong client relationships.

In this role you will drive process improvements, leverage AI tools to optimize billing workflows, and partner with sales, legal, and finance to resolve issues promptly and accurately.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant billing experience.
• Experience with NetSuite and YayPay.
• Understanding of revenue recognition principles.
• Interest in AI-driven finance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing accuracy using Carta's AI-powered workflow.
• Close the data gap by identifying and resolving missing or inconsistent billing data.
• Drive collections excellence and manage outstanding balances.
• Serve as the billing point of contact for clients and respond to queries.
• Support a clean month-end close by reconciling accrued revenue entries.
• Identify friction points in the billing cycle and embed AI-driven improvements.
