Job summary

CAI is seeking an Accountant to manage end-to-end client billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP-compliant records using ERP systems. This role emphasizes billing operations, accounts receivable, and process improvements within a remote, full-time framework.

Responsibilities include reconciliation, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting audits while maintaining data integrity. Direct employment with CAI and no sponsorship are noted due to contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience with billing/AR.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Experience in insurance, billing operations, or accounting environments.
• Proficient in SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Excel.
• Experience with process development or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end client billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
• Perform billing reconciliation and funding settlements, resolving discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Monitor and support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
• Assist in developing and implementing new processes and workflows for scaling the function.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and identify variances.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and client-facing teams across the organization.
• Assist with audit support with documentation and explanations as needed.
