Job summary

Eight Sleep seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations, including revenue recognition, AP, inventory, payroll, and cash management. The role emphasizes implementing AI workflows, SOX-ready controls, and partnering with FP&A and Sales to deliver insights for growth.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience, a CPA license, and a strong background in both public and corporate accounting.

Qualifications

• CPA license required and active.
• Public accounting background with audit experience preferred (Big 4 or large regional firms).
• Experience in corporate/private company accounting in addition to public accounting.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience.
• Experience building and utilizing AI workflows to automate day-to-day tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data mindset for insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle accounting operations including month-end close.
• Oversee revenue recognition, AP, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, and cash management.
• Develop and implement AI workflows and automation within ERP and related tools.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and scalability across entities.
• Design and maintain a SOX-ready control framework for future compliance.
• Oversee financial reporting and provide accounting insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Sales for monthly analysis and budgeting.
• Provide BvA analysis and partner with stakeholders for improvements.
• Support annual audit and tax compliance; coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop, track, and report accounting KPIs and stay updated on new accounting standards.
