Job summary

Nth Generation is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead core accounting processes, financial analysis, and internal controls, delivering business insights to guide decisions while upholding our culture.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, experience with revenue recognition and vendor programs in VAR-like environments, and a track record of cross-functional leadership. Expect collaboration with executive leadership, and modernization with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis experience.
• 3+ years in a senior accountant, accounting manager, finance manager, or equivalent leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and month‑end close processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills preferred.
• Experience in the information technology industry, preferably a VAR, technology reseller, managed services, distribution, or SaaS organization.
• Demonstrated experience with revenue recognition, vendor rebate programs, and gross margin analysis.
• Power BI, AI and AI platforms, ERP, and business intelligence experience.
• Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, general ledger accounting, and month‑end close processes.
• Prior experience working closely with senior finance leadership (Controller, Director, VP, or CFO).

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Prepare, review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Ensure proper accounting for revenue recognition, COGS, rebates, and vendor programs.
• Maintain internal controls, policies, and documentation for audit/compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and management reports.
• Provide margin, pricing, and profitability analyses across products and vendors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop financial models and ad-hoc analyses to inform decisions.
• Translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Partner with EVP/CFO and lead accounting/finance operations.
