Job summary

Appian is seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team in the United States. You will engage with clients post-sales to design, develop and implement software and AI solutions on the Appian platform, guiding projects from concept through production.

Working in an Agile environment, you’ll collaborate with client teams to define processes, create data models, and develop APIs to integrate multiple systems while exploring AI use cases with RAG and other generative models.

Qualifications

• Experience defining business processes with clients and gathering functional/technical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and passion for technology; continuous learner.
• History of success on cross-functional teams; experience with agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of object oriented programming, relational databases, and SQL.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP), AWS, AI/ML, cloud platforms, and container tech.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform.
• Define, design, develop and implement custom software and AI solutions; work through the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to understand client processes and needs; model data; develop APIs.
• Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian AI tools (RAG, agentic workflows, prompts) within client projects.
• Drive adoption by enabling clients to build process apps themselves.
