Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Lead of Turnover, Startup & Commissioning for its AI Data Center portfolio. You will provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to ensure safe, timely turnover from construction through commissioning and final client handover.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams across regions and partners to align system readiness with project schedules. You will manage system walkdowns, testing, documentation, and delivery readiness, while promoting standardized

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in construction completion, turnover, startup, commissioning, or related roles on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of systems-based turnover, startup, energization, and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop turnover, startup, and commissioning strategies, standards, and execution plans across projects and regions.
• Lead systemization, boundary development, turnover sequencing, and commissioning readiness planning.
• Provide leadership and technical oversight for construction completion, walkdowns, punchlists, pre-functional testing, startup, energization, and integrated systems testing.
• Establish readiness criteria and stage-gate requirements for progression through turnover and commissioning.
• Coordinate activities among Construction, Field Quality, Engineering, OEMs, trade partners, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders.
• Drive standardized turnover packages, commissioning documentation, workflows, and digital tools across the portfolio.
