Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Leader of Turnover, Startup & Commissioning for its AI Data Center portfolio in a hybrid work setting. You will lead turnover and commissioning across regions, directing teams through systems readiness, testing, and final client turnover.

The role requires 12+ years in data centers or similar projects, strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in turnover, startup, commissioning, or related execution roles on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of systems-based construction completion, turnover, startup, energization, and commissioning processes.
• Experience reading construction drawings (single-line diagrams, P&IDs, schematics, layouts).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement turnover, startup, and commissioning strategies, standards, and plans across projects and regions.
• Lead systemization, boundary development, turnover sequencing, and readiness planning.
• Oversee construction completion, walkdowns, punchlists, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Establish readiness criteria and stage-gate requirements for progression through turnover and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Construction, Field Quality, Engineering, OEMs, trade partners, and client stakeholders.
• Drive standardized turnover packages, documentation, and digital workflows across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership in drawings, system architecture, controls, and commissioning requirements.
