Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to own the lab floor: rack-and-stack, cabling, hardware installs, and change documentation for first-sample compute, network, and storage platforms.

You will collaborate with remote engineers and vendors, handle RMAs, perform diagnostic steps in Linux, and ensure asset records reflect the floor reality while maintaining security and confidentiality on unreleased hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and supporting server hardware in live data centers or labs.
• Troubleshoot server hardware deeply: POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and network fault diagnosis.
• Comfortable using Linux for hands-on diagnostics and recovery.
• Maintain asset records and documentation to reflect the floor state.
• Experience with unreleased or partner hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the lab floor: rack-and-stack execution, cabling, hardware installs and swaps, and part replacement with accurate records.
• Receive/inventory equipment, manage RMAs, and document installations physically and photographically.
• Provide on-site support for remote engineering teams and hardware partners: diagnostics, reseats, and console access.
• Support liquid cooling work with deployment engineering: CDU manifolds and leak inspection.
• Escalate issues to lab leads and escort vendors during on-site visits while ensuring security and confidentiality.
