Job description

Fluidstack Labs builds civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing data centers, and operating them at speed and scale. This Data Center Technician role owns the lab floor, managing hardware qualification, installation, and support for next-generation accelerators, switches, storage, and liquid-cooling systems before they deploy to production.

What You'll Do
  • Execute rack-and-stack operations, structured copper and fiber cabling, and hardware installations and swaps on first-sample compute, network, and storage platforms
  • Receive, inventory, and document all equipment through the lab; handle RMAs end to end with photographic and physical records that keep asset documentation synchronized with the floor
  • Provide smart-hands remote support including cabling diagnosis and replacement, component reseats, console access, and on-the-floor troubleshooting to unblock remote debug sessions
  • Support liquid cooling operations alongside deployment engineering, including CDU manifold connections, visual leak inspection, and maintaining discipline in high-density liquid‑cooled racks
  • Troubleshoot server hardware at the component level using POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, and BMC; diagnose physical‑layer faults on network hardware
What You Need
  • Deployed and supported server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab: racking, cabling, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations
  • Deep troubleshooting skills across server hardware including POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC, and component‑level repair
  • Strong network fundamentals including TCP/IP and Ethernet, and knowledge of switches and routers to diagnose physical‑layer faults independently
  • Comfortable hands‑on work in Linux for console diagnosis and recovery
  • Disciplined asset management: labeling, documentation, and ensuring physical floor inventory matches system records
Nice to Have
  • Experience with GPU server fleets or hyperscale AI infrastructure
  • Exposure to high-density liquid‑cooled systems
  • Scripting experience in Python or Bash
  • Structured cabling expertise
  • Experience handling unreleased or partner‑owned hardware with confidentiality awareness
