Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a hands-on leader for the NPI lab and data-center qualification team in Austin. You will own end-to-end lab operations, including equipment intake, rack-and-stack, and CDU-driven testing to production readiness.

You will build and mentor an on-site team of technicians and engineers, coordinating qualification programs with vendors and customers while maintaining strict safety and operational standards in a fast-paced, high-density compute environment.

Qualifications

• You've run a hardware lab, NPI program, or qualification facility and owned its day-to-day operation.
• You've managed technicians and engineers directly, set the standard for work quality on the floor, and been the escalation point your team called first when something broke.
• You've worked hands-on with liquid cooling and high-density power, close enough to a CDU loop and a 100 kW rack that technicians take your direction seriously.

Responsibilities

• Own lab logistics: equipment receiving, asset inventory, rack-and-stack execution quality, RMA handling, migration and standup of lab infrastructure, and coordination of CDU manifold connections and leak inspection with deployment engineering.
• Host the power oversubscription and demand-management validation program, from rPDU commissioning and stress harnesses through the full detection to load-shed to shutdown response chain.
• Build and lead the on-site team of data center technicians and lab qualification engineers, and serve as the first escalation point for facility-floor issues.
• Schedule and deconflict qualification programs across vendor sample timelines: next-generation accelerator platforms and Ethernet switching, storage platforms, and CDU platforms; manage operations, scheduling, and execution.
