Job summary

The Construction Manager will lead all pre-construction and construction activities across Giga Energy’s data center projects, from planning to energization, ensuring on‑time, within‑budget delivery of high‑quality work while coordinating with contractors and equipment suppliers. If based outside of our Houston or San Francisco hubs, this role will be based remotely from your home office.

You must be willing to travel frequently to project sites in Texas and other geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction or energy project management; experience in utilities or modular infrastructure preferred.
• Proven experience managing complex contractor networks and large‑scale procurement.
• Strong understanding of permitting, utility coordination, and QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Procore).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the complete field construction effort across all contractors and trades.
• Manage construction sequencing, site logistics, work fronts, contractor interfaces, and short‑interval planning.
• Maintain the integrated construction schedule, track progress, and implement recovery plans when milestones are at risk.
• Coordinate planning with superintendents, trade partners, PM, engineering, procurement, and site leadership.
• Monitor staffing, supervision, productivity, material availability, equipment, and execution against contracts.
• Lead site coordination meetings and communicate priorities and corrective actions.
• Resolve RFIs, design clarifications, submittals, and technical decisions to closure.
• Coordinate civil and site work, foundations, structural, architectural, life‑safety, and MEP scopes.
