Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to the full lifecycle of site development projects. You will support feasibility, design development, and construction execution, collaborating with senior engineers and contractors on challenging data center sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on CAD work, site assessments, and compliance activities in a fast-paced, in-office culture with limited remote options to keep teams aligned in Houston, San Francisco, or Long Beach offices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in land development, industrial construction, or data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar BIM software.
• Working knowledge of hydrology, soil mechanics, and reinforced concrete design.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing site layouts, including grading plans, drainage systems, utility routing, and foundation design under senior guidance.
