Job summary

Playlist is seeking an Engineering Manager for AI Concierge to lead the team expanding this product across Mindbody, ClassPass, Booker, and EGYM, deepening integrations and reliability. You will operate at the intersection of applied AI and production engineering, turning fast-moving model capabilities into trusted systems that run live, revenue-critical front desks for wellness businesses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing engineering teams of 6+ in a close-to-code capacity.
• Experience shipping and scaling AI-powered SaaS products in a B2B2C environment.
• Strong Python skills, with comfort across a mixed stack (React, C#).
• Proven track record taking AI capabilities from prototype to production.
• Clear communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort setting technical direction in an area that is still ambiguous.
• Experience with modern AI development tools and frameworks.
• A genuine interest in building a strong, diverse engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building and scaling AI Concierge across brands.
• Own end-to-end team management: recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and performance.
• Set technical direction for AI Concierge balancing fast iteration with reliability.
• Partner with product, data, and applied AI teams to prioritize what ships next.
• Make architectural decisions that hold up as usage scales across brands.
• Own the quality bar for the system, including eval and monitoring for regressions.
• Contribute to engineering-wide practices and standards.
