Job summary

AEP is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Lead for Cloud AI in Gahanna, OH. The role builds secure, scalable AI infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments, focusing on cloud foundations, networking, containers, identity, cost management and observability.

The ideal candidate has extensive AWS and Kubernetes expertise, strong networking and security fundamentals, and experience with FinOps and on-premises edge deployments. Leadership and collaboration with multiple teams are required.

Qualifications

Hands-on AWS engineering, IAM, VPC networking, compute and storage.
Experience with cloud security, monitoring and cost management for AI workloads.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain AWS account structure, landing zones and reference patterns for AI workloads.
Engineer compute, storage and networking foundations for AI workloads, incl. GPU instances and data access.
Build IaC modules, templates and pipelines for rapid AI deployments within guardrails.
Develop and operate on-prem AI infrastructure for edge or disconnected environments.
