American Electric Power (AEP) is hiring a Technology Manager to lead AI Platforms onsite in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on building enterprise AI foundations, defining strategy, and guiding platform engineering and governance to enable scalable AI across the company.

You’ll lead teams to deliver secure, reliable AI services with cost-aware operations, coordinating with Architecture, Security, Data, and Governance organizations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology experience; 4–6 years in supervision preferred.
• Experience leading enterprise AI, ML, cloud, or platform engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern AI platform architecture and production AI operations.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute the enterprise AI platform strategy and roadmap.
• Build and lead a high-performing AI platform engineering and operations team.
• Establish platform standards, architecture patterns, and operational best practices.
• Evaluate emerging AI platform capabilities and determine enterprise fit.
• Lead the engineering, operation, support, and continuous improvement of foundational AI services.
