OPSWAT, Inc. is offering a six-month paid Support Engineering Internship in Tampa, FL, joining the Level 1 support team to handle real tickets from day one with a mentor.

You will investigate issues, reproduce in labs, and assist customers with OPSWAT products, while exploring AI-driven automation and knowledge-base enhancements. Ideal candidates are pursuing a CS/IT/Cybersecurity degree or recent graduates, comfortable with Windows/Linux, with basic networking knowledge, strong analytical

Qualificações

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field — or a recent graduate.
• Available for the full 6 months, at least 30 hours per week.
• Comfortable with Windows and Linux: navigate filesystem, read logs, install software, use a terminal.
• Basic networking knowledge — TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls.
• Strong analytical instincts: break problems down, not guess.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and automation; share a project or automation you built.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to ask questions early.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a queue of open support tickets with a mentor, aiming for timely resolution.
• Investigate and diagnose reported issues; reproduce problems and narrow causes.
• Search internal knowledge bases to find solutions before escalation.
• Escalate complex cases with clear notes to senior engineers.
• Communicate clearly with customers via email, chat, and tickets.
• Assist customers with installation, configuration, and integration of OPSWAT products.
