Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking an Artificial Intelligence & Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI systems that improve claims processing, prior authorization, and member communications for Medicare Advantage members.

The role collaborates with AI Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and operations teams to deliver production-grade pipelines, CI/CD, and compliant cloud infrastructure in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and progressive hands-on experience considered.
• Experience with AI/ML production systems in cloud environments.
• Experience with HIPAA/regulatory healthcare data handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy distributed AI/ML systems for healthcare use cases.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and containerized services (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Integrate AI models and automation into enterprise apps via REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Clinical Ops to deliver production-grade solutions.
• Ensure cost-aware, reliable and compliant production workflows.
