Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking an Artificial Intelligence & Automation Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI systems and automated workflows that improve operational efficiency and elevate care for Medicare Advantage members.

You will partner with AI Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and clinical operations to translate complex business problems into scalable, production‑grade solutions and help reduce administrative burden while advancing member experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative discipline is preferred.
• Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks through professional work experience; formal training or self‑directed equivalent accepted.
• Working knowledge of cloud AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, or Google Vertex AI).
• Completion of formal certification or coursework in MLOps, cloud AI platforms, responsible AI, or agentic AI development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI systems and automated workflows.
• Develop distributed, cloud-native services and APIs for enterprise workloads.
• Implement CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC practices.
• Build data and automation pipelines, ETL, and orchestration (Airflow/Prefect).
• Integrate LLMs into workflows and implement RAG pipelines and agentic frameworks.
