Job summary

Baseten is hiring a Product Marketing Manager focused on our Model API offering. You will craft technical narratives for developers and enterprise customers, own launch processes, and produce compelling marketing assets like blogs and case studies.

Ideal candidates have 3–8+ years in product marketing for developer tools or SaaS, with hands-on experience communicating complex AI concepts and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS.
• Proven success creating technical product marketing content and campaigns targeting developer audiences.
• Working understanding of the LLM landscape: post-training, open-weight and closed models, training techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Technically adept and comfortable working with engineering teams to understand product capabilities.
• Familiarity with developer ecosystems, APIs, and modern software development practices.
• Worked at a fast-moving startup and can adjust quickly in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

• Positioning & messaging: develop clear and differentiated messaging for developers and enterprise customers.
• Narrative development: shape how the market thinks about closed-to-open weights models and what matters in inference.
• Go-to-market strategy: own launches for new features and products with cross-functional teams.
• Content development: create white papers, technical blogs, demos, and customer case studies.
• Sales enablement: build resources and programs for sales to communicate Baseten’s capabilities.
• Market insights: monitor AI market dynamics and produce competitive analyses to inform positioning.
