Job summary

Applecart in New York City seeks a Head of AI Adoption & Governance to define the strategy for internal AI use and manage adoption across teams. You will work with Legal to set guardrails, ensure data confidentiality, and report on value and risks.

This hybrid role collaborates with Security, IT, and Engineering to scale responsible AI across the organization. You will build a data classification framework, operationalize client obligations, run pilots with clear success criteria, and lead

Qualifications

• 8+ years across security, privacy, technology risk or IT strategy in regulated environments.
• Experience deploying software in an organization and driving adoption, not only governance.
• Fluent with privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2) to guide decisions with counsel.
• Ability to discuss retention, model training, and access controls with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy and own the internal AI adoption roadmap, specifying tools and teams.
• Translate risk posture into guardrails and clear governance for AI usage.
• Build data classification standards and operationalize client obligations in AI processes.
• Run pilots, create enablement materials, and partner with Security, Legal, IT, and Engineering.
