Job summary

You will design policy-driven architecture spanning data classification, provenance, and access controls. You will partner with legal, privacy, and engineering to translate regulatory requirements into durable technical solutions and drive governance as a platform capability inside Apple's ML infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in data governance, ML governance, or compliance architecture.
• Deep understanding of ML workflows, data engineering, and ML infrastructure.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with legal, privacy, compliance, and engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical architecture.
• Fluent in both legal and engineering languages; translate obligations into technical requirements.
• Experience engaging policy stakeholders to shape guidance.
• Exceptional ability to operate in ambiguity and align diverse priorities.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end AI & Data governance frameworks across the ML lifecycle.
• Own the compliance architecture and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Bridge legal, privacy, and engineering to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Define data classification at scale for AI/ML data assets.
• Navigate AI/ML regulatory landscape and ensure architecture meets obligations.
• Embed governance controls into the platform with cross-team collaboration.
• Develop standards and patterns for Apple Services' engineering teams.
• Advise senior stakeholders on governance risk and trade-offs.
