Job summary

NEW Cooperative seeks an entry-level Agronomy Assistant in Iowa to support in-season operations, field research, and grower service. You will work alongside experienced agronomy sales specialists to learn the sales process, assist with seed and chemical delivery, and help deliver timely agronomy solutions.

Responsibilities include customer support before, during, and after the sale, scouting and soil sampling, and contributing to the achievement of personal, regional, and company sales goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in agronomy required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsement.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow experienced agronomy sales specialists to learn selling strategies and the sales process.
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during and after the sale.
• Identify potential customers and help build relationships with prospects.
• Assist with agronomy operations including seed handling, fertilizer application, and yield checks.
