Job summary

Heartland Co-op is seeking an Agronomy Sales Specialist in Iowa to sell seed, fertilizer, agrichemicals, and agronomy services to production customers. You will build long-term relationships, plan test plots, and use company programs to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4–5 years related experience or training in agronomy or sales.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Make sales calls throughout assigned territory to determine agronomy needs and build relationships.
• Sell seed, fertilizer, agrichemicals and agronomy services within company policies.
• Develop and maintain a current customer list and rank prospects by potential.
• Use current programs and resources to sell agronomy products ethically.
• Plan and carry out test plots to demonstrate improved varieties to support sales.
