Job summary

Idahoan Foods, LLC partners with R.D. Offutt Farms and Syngenta to offer an Agronomy Intern opportunity in Minnesota.

Students gain hands-on experience with crop development, scouting, soil and petiole sampling, and an individual agronomy project, under guidance from industry experts and university faculty. This part-time internship includes training, development, and potential growth within the organization, with pay of $16–$19 per hour and requirements including enrollment in an approved

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an approved agriculture program or equivalent.
• Maintain acceptable GPA and attendance while in the program.
• Proactively communicate with management and provide transcripts as required.
• Adhere to academic policies and rules of the program.
• Agriculture experience preferred.
• Ability to assemble and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Candidate must have valid work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with crop development, insect, weed and disease scouting, soil sampling, petiole sampling, and complete an agronomy project during the internship.
• Learn from industry experts from R.D. Offutt Farms, Syngenta and university faculty.
• Present project findings to leadership (15-minute presentation and Q&A).
• Receive presentation training through Syngenta.
• Access to Syngenta Campus resources and training.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for tools, machines, and equipment.
• Identify and communicate solutions within responsibilities and with management.
