Job summary

Vylor is hiring a Production Technician to join our Durant, Iowa location. You will participate in harvest activities, operate highly automated equipment, and support warehouse duties while embracing LEAN manufacturing practices.

This on-site role requires flexibility for rotating shifts and overtime during seasonal peaks. Ideal candidates hold a two-year technical/Associates degree or equivalent, and a high school diploma or GED with a valid US driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or ability to obtain GED within 12 months of hire.
• Two-year technical/associates degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
• LEAN Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Continuous Improvement, Standardized Work).
• Experience or familiarity with field and/or agriculture equipment is a plus.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Participate in harvest activities such as preparation, drying, shelling, husk oversight, product unloading, and other relevant processes.
• Perform general plant, field and warehouse operations that vary with the season.
• Monitor automated equipment for harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing.
• Contribute to product return and sorting activities.
• Assist in conditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, and packaging.
