Job summary

Vylor is hiring a Production Technician for our St. Joseph, MO area. You will support safe, high‑volume production in a highly automated facility with duties spanning plant, field, and warehouse operations.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, flexibility for nights/weekends during peaks, and basic computer skills. Training and advancement opportunities are offered as part of our total rewards program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or able to obtain GED within 12 months of hire.
• Willing to climb, stand, sit for long periods, and work outdoors/indoors in varying conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
• Proficient with basic computer applications and willing to learn company-specific tools.

Responsibilities

• Model Safety as the number one focus and act as Safety Steward for the program.
• Perform tasks across plant, field, and warehouse operations throughout the year.
• Monitor highly automated equipment for harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing.
• Assist with receiving, conditioning, packaging, harvest, product return and precleaning.
• Participate in harvest activities including preparation, drying, shelling, husk oversight, and unloading.
• Handle product returns, sorting, and conditioning activities such as sizing and palletizing.
• Engage in field activities like scouting, inspection, and logistics management.
• Operate forklifts and collect samples; support shifts and seasonal peaks.
