Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency in Leawood, Kansas is seeking a Client Manager for the Agribusiness team to service a diverse book of business and coordinate marketing, submissions, and policy documentation.

You will build strong client relationships, provide risk management guidance, train teammates, and collaborate with Producers and carriers to drive growth while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• 3+ years of experience working in customer service, underwriting, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
• Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, maintain a positive work atmosphere, and develop healthy relationships internally and externally.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate quotations, evaluate client needs, and develop innovative business solutions.
• Be a self-starter and problem solver.
• AAI, CIC, CISR, or CRIS designation preferred
• Property/Casualty license or ability to attain is required

Responsibilities

• Oversee servicing of a diverse book of business, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of requests.
• Direct gathering and preparation of submission information for the marketing process.
• Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals and binding coverage.
• Assist with marketing and placement of new and renewal business.
• Serve as primary point of contact for identified clients and respond to requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
• Assist in training newly hired team members and provide timely support.
• Conduct assessments of clients’ risk programs and provide recommendations for coverage enhancements.
• Provide risk management advice during renewal reviews.
• Collaborate with Producers and cross-functional teams to align on client activities.
• Lead special projects driving agency growth and improved service delivery.
• Review renewals and endorsements for accuracy and compliance.
• Respond to underwriting requests and collaborate with clients as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and pursue professional development opportunities.
• Prepare for licenses and certifications as required.
