Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Project Manager to lead delivery for data, AI governance, and security/identity workstreams within a federal advisory program. You will act as a client liaison, coach teams, and drive day-to-day tasking in a government consulting environment.

You will apply Agile practices, manage risks, report status, and collaborate with technical leaders to keep delivery on track while building stakeholder trust across agile teams and executives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years managing projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Working proficiency in scheduling, performance measurement, and executive reporting.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skill coordinating across technical, mission, and stakeholder groups.
• Experience in a complex technical/engineering delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Track deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks for assigned workstreams against SLA standards.
• Apply financial management, acquisition support, and performance measurement practices.
• Partner with technical SMEs and architecture leadership to keep delivery on track.
• Report workstream status into the integrated schedule and leadership reviews.
• Maintain results-oriented relationships with client stakeholders on the workstreams.
• Manage workstream team members and facilitate technical discussions to troubleshoot delivery issues.
