Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. in McLean, VA seeks a Project Manager to lead delivery execution for data, AI governance, and security/identity workstreams within a federal advisory program. You will serve as client liaison, coach, and mentor to ensure mission-driven results.

You will track deliverables, manage risks, and lead Agile ceremonies, partnering with SMEs and leadership to keep delivery on schedule and aligned with program SLAs. A government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• 5+ years of project management experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Proficient scheduling, performance measurement, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Track deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks for assigned workstreams against SLA standards.
• Apply financial management, acquisition support, and performance measurement practices.
• Partner with SMEs and architecture leadership to keep delivery on track.
• Report workstream status into the integrated schedule and leadership reviews.
• Maintain results-oriented relationships with client stakeholders.
• Manage workstream team members and facilitate discussions to troubleshoot delivery issues.
• Assess delivery environment and tailor Agile practices for the workstream.
• Participate in and support Agile ceremonies; remove blockers to keep delivery on track.
• Evaluate feasibility, remove non-productive tasks, and accelerate delivery when possible.
• Offer guidance to client stakeholders in challenging situations.
• Support staff training and development within the team.
