Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Project Manager who is creative and hands-on in delivering innovative technology solutions within a government client consulting environment. You will lead project tasking, provide Agile PM and Scrum Master support, and coordinate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and create release schedules and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience
• 5+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches
• 5+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working in a complex engineering environment
• PMP and Scrum Master certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead project tasking and delivery in a government client consulting environment
• Act as client liaison, team coach, and mentor
• Manage client relationships and pursue new opportunities with existing clients
• Develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives and manage remote project delivery teams
• Facilitate technical discussions to troubleshoot project issues
• Assess delivery environment and tailor Agile practices
• Provide Agile Scrum Master support and attend ceremonies
• Remove blockers to ensure project success
• Coach Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization
• Guide staff training for skills expansion and career growth
