Job summary

Steampunk seeks a Project Manager to lead government consulting projects, delivering innovative technology solutions with hands-on leadership in an Agile environment.

You will coordinate with product owners and stakeholders, drive backlog prioritization, create release schedules and roadmaps, and ensure high client satisfaction while establishing best-in-class Agile practices across the delivery team.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience.
• 5+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches.
• 5+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies.
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in a complex engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile project management and provide Scrum Master support for Agile teams.
• Coordinate with product owners and stakeholders on backlog prioritization.
• Create release schedules and roadmaps based on assessments.
• Establish technical practices and release management standards aligned with customer processes.
• Ensure the team follows Agile scrum processes and drive client satisfaction.
• Remove blockers to ensure project success.
• Coach the Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization.
• Liaise with client executives providing technical and business guidance.
• Manage remote project delivery team and monitor staff performance.
• Assist staff with training needs to enable skills expansion.
