Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is a nationwide market range, reflecting salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, and the candidate’s skills, education, training, and experience. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is seeking an Agile Product Owner to lead a team in delivering capabilities/solutions in an agile manner. You will act as the voice of the end-user to guide the day-to-day work of a smaller-scale team, focusing on achieving defined outcomes rather than dictating how the work is done.

What Will You Do?

1. Define, prioritize, and maintain a ready backlog for a smaller product team, and accept final product outputs, focusing on outcomes.
2. Manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities, and engage in 'test and learn' activities to refine future deliverables, measure performance, and adjust roadmaps.
3. Understand and implement team goals and strategies, ensuring alignment with the circle and value stream vision; communicate these effectively to stakeholders, Circle Leads, and team members.
4. Act as the voice of the end-user, responding to customer feedback, and ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined; verify that work meets acceptance criteria.
5. Own and prioritize the team backlog, making trade-offs to maximize value.
6. Set objectives and KPIs to optimize the flow of value.
7. Participate in business readiness activities, understanding change impacts, and managing adoption and resistance.
8. Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and help remove impediments; seek continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Collaborate with Circle Leads and peers to communicate resource needs for achieving business outcomes.
10. Share best practices to ensure alignment and consistency within the value stream.
11. Foster an innovative, inclusive, and diverse team environment, promoting collaboration and self-organization.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

2. At least two years of experience in Agile product management preferred.
