Job Description Summary

Join a team aspiring to lead business innovation in the insurance and financial services industry. If you are entrepreneurial, agile, and passionate about growth and innovation, Nationwide's Business Capability Team may be the right fit.

As a Consultant, you will partner with key team members to define product and journey vision and strategy, discovering, refining, and delivering user-centric products and experiences.

You will serve as the customer proxy for the development team, working with stakeholders to meet business outcomes and managing a comprehensive product backlog.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to execute strategic vision and prioritize the product backlog.
• Provide input to developers and agile teams to ensure the business perspective is captured.
• Manage product backlog to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with outside partners to align expectations.
• Participate in planning meetings and drive short-term outcomes.
• Ensure solutions meet organizational needs and expectations.
• Participate in user acceptance testing and resolve technical issues.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to AVP.

Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related; advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 7+ years in product management, business analysis, or related fields; product or engineering background preferred.

Knowledge & Skills: Broad understanding of technologies, insurance practices, agile methodologies, customer-centric design, data analytics, and ability to manage budgets and prioritize effectively.

Other: Leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Additional Conditions

Regularly demonstrates Nationwide Values. Not eligible for overtime. Normal office environment. Specific duties may vary based on circumstances.
