Job summary

Optum is seeking an Agile Practitioner 2 to guide Agile software teams delivering healthcare technology solutions. You will establish cadences, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

You will coach teams, manage dependencies, report metrics, and apply AI tools to streamline workflows while growing within a mission-driven Optum team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Scrum Master/Agile Practitioner in an enterprise software environment
• 4+ years facilitating core Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• 4+ years managing team dependencies, metrics, and financial spend/forecasts

Responsibilities

• Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams within a Release Train or Value Stream, establishing team cadence and facilitating ceremonies
• Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members to encourage adopting sound Agile practices
• Facilitate cross-team coordination, align strategy, methodology, and execution, and manage dependencies with external teams and stakeholders
• Identify, own, and remove delivery impediments, escalating risks and issues as appropriate
• Maintain and communicate delivery metrics for transparent visibility into progress, quality and execution
• Manage Agile team financials, including tracking spend, forecasting, and updates to stakeholders
• Establish a safe, blame-free environment and empower the team to succeed
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows and drive improvements
