Job summary

The Shelly Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Ohio to conduct aggregate testing and ensure compliance with ASTM/AASHTO specs. The role may involve night work, overtime, and travel as required, with duties performed under limited supervision.

Responsibilities include recording test results, communicating with other technicians, and assisting quarry personnel in process adjustments to meet specifications, while adhering to safety and ethics policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform standardized tests per ASTM/AASHTO.
• Familiarity with data entry and reportable results.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Test aggregates to verify specifications and weight, gravity, and gradation.
• Record results and communicate with technicians and quarry personnel.
• Assist in adjusting processes to meet specs.
• Report test results ethically per company policy.
• Learn and use computer software like Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
