Job summary

The Shelly Company in Ohio is seeking a Quality Control Technician to conduct aggregate tests and determine conformity to specifications. You will support the manufacturing process by monitoring material quality, performing standard lab tests, and communicating results to operations teams.

This role may involve night shifts, weekend work, and travel to job sites. You will work with safety procedures, use Excel for data entry, and uphold the company ethics policy while contributing to continuous

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform standardized laboratory tests per ASTM/AASHTO standards.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate a two-way radio.
• Current or working toward Level 2 or 3 HMA ODOT Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Test materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Identify and become familiar with mix specifications requirements.
• Monitor the quality of aggregates for specific jobs.
• Test materials to determine weight, gravity, and gradation.
• Input test results into computers in laboratories and remote locations.
• Communicate results to quarry personnel and test results ethically.
