Job summary

Viasat is seeking an Agentic Engineer to join the Entertainment Platform Architecture team, building and running agentic AI systems for the Entertainment org. You will own workstreams end to end, from design through production operation, and mentor colleagues in agentic development and tooling.

The role is hands-on, focusing on agent runtimes, a company-wide code-review agent, MCP servers, and integration with internal systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering with production systems.
Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM technologies: agentic workflows and observability.
Experience owning a workstream or service end-to-end, from design to production.
Strong Python and TypeScript/React proficiency.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP) and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

Build and ship agentic AI applications end to end with architects and product teams.
Extend and operate production agent services and evaluation guardrails.
Build MCP servers and integrations for a governed interface to internal systems.
Create reusable agent templates and components for rapid onboarding.
Develop agent swarms and automations for recurring workflows.
Advance spec-driven delivery framework with CI and PRs.
Deploy on build-to-image architecture across GCP and AWS; use Terraform.
