Job summary

Viasat seeks an experienced Agentic Engineer to lead end-to-end workstreams for its Entertainment Platform Architecture team. You will build, review, and operate agentic AI systems supporting Live TV, in-flight entertainment, and content delivery capabilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, mentoring, and shaping adoption of agentic AI across the org, reporting to the Lead Platform Architect. Site-based with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating production systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM technologies: agentic workflows, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, and observability.
• Experience owning a workstream or service end to end, from design through production operation.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship agentic AI applications end to end with architects and product teams.
• Extend and operate production agent services, including a company-wide code-review agent.
• Build and maintain MCP servers, agent templates, and reusable libraries.
• Deploy on GCP and AWS with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and AI tooling adoption.
