Job summary

IANS is expanding its AI strategy with a hands-on Agentic Engineer role in Boston. You will build, test, and operate agent capabilities, tools, and retrieval components within a production-grade platform.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with production-grade features or agentic systems.
• Proficiency in Go or strong in a comparable language plus Python for AI/ML workflows.
• Experience building web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered applications with agent frameworks or model APIs.
• Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt/context.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge, preferably AWS (ECS, Bedrock, Lambda).
• Strong testing, debugging, and observability practices.
• Clear written and verbal communication and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and ship production-quality agent capabilities—tools, retrieval components, memory features, orchestration steps, and evaluations.
• Implement agent and tool-use patterns with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Integrate retrieval-augmented generation and enterprise-grade tool protocols into platform components.
• Contribute to developer-facing primitives for external clients to extend the IANS agent platform.
