Job summary

Vista Equity Partners is seeking an Associate Director, AI Ops Engineering to design, build, and operate a scalable agentic AI platform. You will own end-to-end implementation across architecture, data, interfaces, and governance, partnering with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, platform standards, and collaboration across Vista portfolio companies to accelerate value creation with AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI or related field
• 3+ years in AI/ML platform architecture and development
• Deep recent experience (2+ years) in generative AI and agentic architectures in production
• Experience shipping AI apps to production and architecting vendor-agnostic solutions
• Strong frontend/UI/UX with polished interfaces

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on agentic AI systems to production-grade capability
• Create intuitive interfaces for agentic AI products with production readiness
• Own hands-on implementation of agent architectures and production stack
• Develop reference implementations for core agentic capabilities
• Define abstraction layers to support multiple LLM providers and clouds
• Onboard and enable AI tools onto a shared platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product and engineering to scale capabilities
