Job summary

FICO is hiring a software engineer to shape how AI coding agents are integrated into production-grade software within a highly regulated decisioning context. You will define requirements, write clear specifications, and drive end-to-end quality across a fast-moving codebase.

You will collaborate with Product teams, translate ideas into Proofs of Concepts, and ensure the agent-generated output meets correctness, performance, and auditability standards in real-time decisioning systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in software engineering within large codebases.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and production workflows.
• Ability to critically evaluate agent output and intervene when needed.
• Clear, testable specifications and definitions of done for complex work.
• Disciplined verification, checks, and test coverage in regulated contexts.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, ML deployment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product teams to translate ideation into structured Proof of Concepts.
• Produce detailed specifications and acceptance criteria for agent-produced output.
• Apply rigorous quality standards to all agent-generated output.
• Identify root causes of recurring agent errors and implement systemic controls.
• Maintain repository documentation and contextual knowledge as a system of record.
• Make architectural trade-offs with latency, auditability, and regulatory requirements in mind.
