Job summary

FICO is seeking a software engineer to help design and govern the output of a fleet of AI coding agents within a regulated decisioning context. You will craft precise specifications, verify agent-generated code, and drive architectures with a strong emphasis on auditability and maintainability.

You will collaborate with Product teams and harness guides, tests, and sensors to ensure high-quality, production-grade output across complex systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering within large, complex codebases.
• Ability to define, verify, and judge output from agent-based systems.
• Ability to produce precise specifications and definitions of done.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product teams to translate ideation into PoCs with clear feasibility and scope.
• Produce specifications and acceptance criteria for agent-generated output.
• Apply quality standards to agent outputs and ensure auditability in a regulated context.
• Work within AGENTS.md guides, linting, verification loops, and automated sensors.
• Identify root causes of recurring agent errors and drive systemic controls.
• Maintain repository documentation and contextual knowledge as a shared system of record.
• Apply technical judgement on architecture, edge cases, latency, and risk.
