Job summary

FICO is seeking a Senior Director of AI Engineering to lead innovation and growth across its platform. You will guide Generative AI efforts, apply large language models to automate decisioning, fraud detection, and customer workflows, and set the technical vision for scalable, secure AI systems.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, partner with product managers to translate priorities into roadmaps, and ensure governance and monitoring are robust across models and deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams to deliver advanced AI solutions.
• 15+ years in software/ML/data engineering with LLM applications.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a high-performing AI engineering team with clear direction for hiring.
• Design and implement AI solutions including LLM-powered automation and fraud detection.
• Translate business priorities into actionable AI roadmaps and governance practices.
• Define model evaluation, governance, and monitoring best practices at scale.
• Build systems for continuous monitoring, A/B testing, backtesting, and drift detection.
• Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering leadership to align AI capabilities.
